Resources

This page is a page of products and companies I have found to replace the bigger, less socially responsible ones many of us have come to rely on. Many of these businesses also support social and environmental causes, which is a bonus on top of already supporting someone who isn't one of those... other... corporations.

Some of the links on this page are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase with one of these companies, I may receive compensation. This in no way affects the price that you pay. I will always disclose which links are affiliate links as I post them.

This page will grow as I go, so check back if you are looking for something specific. I'm also open to new recommendations, so feel free to share yours!

Books

I love these two "booksellers" because they give at least a portion of their profits to small, independently-owned bookstores. Bookshop and Libro are currently my go-to websites for books when I don't simply go to my local bookstore. When I am looking for used books, one of my first (non-local) stops is ThriftBooks. They have a huge selection, and I definitely appreciate the cheaper, reuse route! They also have a selection of other media for purchase (bluray, dvds, etc) incase you are looking to add to your collection in that way.

Period Care

I recently started transitioning to a menstrual cup from tampons, and other than the occasional panic that it's not in quite right, I'm loving the reduced waste and healthier option. In order to avoid using disposable pads/liners, I'm using period underwear from Aisle. The cup and special underwear combo is working great!
