Welcome

A Green Thread was started as a way to document my journey toward living in a way that more closely aligns with my values. It’s not that I haven’t been doing so at all, but we’ve reached a point that the direction I want to head is absolutely clear.

A Green Thread is about the thread of life, of nature, and of Earth, that connects us all. Strengthening that thread and turning it into a web that supports us all is why I am here.

This space is open and welcome to anyone who wants to be part of it, AND at the same time I need to make some acknowledgements:

• Some of these things will require resources (time, money, energy at the end of the day… you get it) that you might not have. That’s ok.
• Ultimately this is about each of us knowing what we can reasonably do. We didn’t create the society we live in overnight, so creating a new one will take time too.

With those acknowledgements in place, I want you to know that you are welcome here, and you belong. I don’t want this to be just a space where I write about what I am doing; I hope to create a community where we share our collective journeys and grow together.

Change takes commitment, so be kind to yourself

I'm not writing to tell anyone what they "should" or "need" to do. My goal is to inspire you, to help you find hope, and to help you keep looking (and moving forward). We can only do our best with what we have every day, and what "best" is looks a little different for each of us.

Whatever happens, we go through this together.
